SimActive Inc. announces the use of Correlator3D by Beacon Aviation, Inc. in successfully delivering 269 square miles of ortho imagery for Rains County 911 and the appraisal district in Texas. SimActive software was used to process the raw imagery and to produce orthomosaics.
Beacon was able to respond much faster than out-of-state flyers and local drone operators with limited acquisition capabilities, having their own aircraft with high-quality aerial mapping equipment. Once the data was collected, they employed Correlator3D to create the mapping deliverables to support the County’s 911 emergency response teams.
“We received a call from the appraisal district on a Monday, flew all 269 sq. miles of it on Wednesday and delivered on the following Monday”, said Marty Gould, President of Beacon Aviation. “Using Correlator3D allows our team to rapidly deliver high-quality color-balanced countywide orthomosaics in days, not weeks or months.”
