SimActive announces the use of its Correlator3D product with Phase One cameras in the mapping of large oil & gas operation projects by Air Data Solutions (ADS). The software allows direct import of Phase One’s IIQ image format for the creation of accurate map products, including DSMs, point clouds and orthomosaics.
“Being able to import IIQ data into Correlator3D’s workflow saves us a lot of time in processing and the need for additional storage space.”
ADS operates a fleet of 20 aircraft with multiple Phase One camera systems and flies a large oil & gas operation on an annual basis in South Texas. Each time, over 3,000 images are collected with the iXM-RS280F over the large area.
“We chose the iXM-RS280F because it can capture such a large footprint and yet still achieve the GSD required for the project”, said Don Cummins, President of ADS. “Being able to import IIQ data into Correlator3D’s workflow saves us a lot of time in processing and the need for additional storage space. Working with Phase One and Correlator3D just makes our job much easier.”
